Super Nintendo World Opening "Early 2022" At Universal Studios Japan

Confirmed on Twitter by Universal Studios Nippon and then the official Nintendo Twitter accounts, the park is due to open in "Early 2022!"

Alongside confirmation of the park'due south opening window, both Universal Studios and Nintendo shared a little more data on a new attraction. The Mario Cafe and Shop will exist opening ahead of the master area of the park on October 16 and will be featured in the Hollywood region of Universal Studios Japan. The buffet will sell a range of Super Mario themed foods and drinks, including special pancake sandwiches and cream sodas.

Nintendo and Universal Studios have previously confirmed that the park would experience like "a life-size, living video game where y'all could become one of the characters," and "Y'all're not just playing the game; you're living the game, you're living the adventure." Attendees to the park will be given wristbands which can be used to collect virtual coins around the park besides as graphic symbol stamps. The wristbands will likewise be used to complete parkwide challenges in which attendees will come together to defeat bosses.
